Abring




Perched at an altitude of 14,688 ft above sea level, Abring is a small settlement in Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 37 km from Matsel and is 200 km from Srinagar, the state capital.

The Zanskar River, which flows through Abring, is the main attrcation. Karsha Monastery and Zongkhul Monastery are other nearby points of interest for the tourists.

Abring can be easily reached from Kushol, which is 4 km east. The nearest railway station is at Jammu (217 km).
