Aavakaaya




Aavakaaya is the most famous pickle made in Andhra Pradesh. This dish is made of raw sour mangoes with salt, powdered mustard and powdered dry red chilli and a lot of oil to float over the mangoes. This preparation has a spicy and tangy taste, and goes well with very hot rice and ghee. This is a perennial favorite of Andhraites all over the world.
