Aarattupuzha Pooram is a prominent festival, held at
Shri Sastha Temple, in Aarattupuzha, about 14 km from
Thrissur. It falls annually in April or May. An impressive section of the festival is the ceremonial procession of 70 majestically caparisoned elephants.
