Aamnayeshwar Temple




Aamnayeshwar Temple is an ancient shrine situated at Burband, about 8 km from Aravali, in Ratnagiri District of Maharashtra. The temple enshrines Lord Shiva as the presiding deity. The temple boasts several beautiful ancient sculptures of which the sculpture of 'Ganda Bherunda' is an eye catching one.

It is said that during the ancient time the place is abundant in Aamani trees and hence the name, Aamnayeshwar Temple.

There is a charming lake in front of the temple.

Aravali Road Railway Station, served by Konkan Railways, is the nearest railhead.
