The AU-KBC Research Center (Anna University- K.B Chandrasekhar Research Center) was founded in 1999, at the Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) campus and functions as an autonomous center. The center focuses on research both in emerging areas such as Nano-sciences and established ones like Communications and Biology. Research activities are encouraged in the fields of wireless communication, cryptography and natural language processing. A strong interdisciplinary blending of Mathematics, Computing and Physics has a positive impact on the teaching and research at the Center. The AU-KBC center offers Master of Science programs and selections are based on a written test and an interview.
