Syampur

Syampur is a taluk headquarters of Howrah District, West Bengal. Around 44 km towards the north-east of this town is Howrah, the district headquarters. From here, one can have a magnificent view of the Damodar. The village of Gadiara is only a short distance from here.

Major point of attraction here is the Mornington Fort.

Airport close to the town is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport. At Bagnan and Kulgachia are the nearest railway stations.
