Bengal Natural History Museum, established in 1915, is located in
Darjeeling,
West Bengal. The museum preserves a comprehensive fauna from different altitudes of the Eastern Himalayas. More than 4,000 specimens have been classified here. There are separate sections for birds, butterflies and beetles, reptiles and mammals.
Bengal Natural History Museum is open from 10:00 to 16:00 hrs daily, except Thursdays.
