Patrasaer is a taluk headquarters town of Bankura District, West Bengal. It lies about 37 km away from the industrial town of Durgapur. Sonamukhi is 13 km north. Radhanagar in the west, Budbud in the north, Indas, Khandaghosh and Galsi in the east, Jaypur and Narangi in the south are the nearby towns.
