Panchet is a picturesque place in
Dhanbad District of
Jharkhand. It is situated about 9 km south of Chirkunda and 54 km south-east of
Dhanbad. The prime attraction here is
Panchet Dam, which is built across the
Damodar River.
Kumardubi Railway Station, 10 km away, is the nearest railhead. Bus services are available from Barakar, Asansol, Maithon and Dhanbad (50 km) to reach Panchet.
