Fort Gloster

Fort Gloster lies near the western banks of the Hooghly, just a kilometer to the east of Bauria, in Howrah District. Sarangabad and Nangi are equi-distant from here, at about 3 km. Nalpur, Raghudebbati and Baj Baj are other places in the neighborhood. Nearly 16 km to its north-east is Howrah. Fort Gloster Industries Limited, a cable-manufacturing unit, is located here. Howrah Bridge, Madangopaljiu Temple at Mellak, Morington Fort, Belur Mutt and Indian Botanic Garden are some of the prime attractions one can visit. Fort Gloster can be accessed from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport and Bauria Junction Railway Station.
