Shaivites are the devotees of
Lord Shiva - one of the gods in the Hindu trinity – who worship him in any of his manifestation.
Lord Shiva is usually worshipped in the form of Shivling. They consider him boundless and eternal. Shaivites wear a characteristic three horizontal marks on their forehead and forearms. They are usually seen with long and matted hair.
One of the most famous hymns of Shaivites is the 'Om Namah Shivaya'.
