Kunjaghata Palace




Kunjaghata Palace is located close to Gorabazaar of Saidabad town in Murshidabad District. The palace was owned by Maharaja Nanda Kumar's son-in-law. The Maharaja and his family stayed at the Kunjaghata Palace in 1755. Personal belongings of the Maharaja such as letters, shawl and sword are conserved here. An oil painting of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is a unique piece of artistic excellence.

The structure was ruined to an extent with the evolution of time. The idols of Lord Shiva, Lakshmi-Narayan and Vrindavanchandra can be found in temples of the palace.

Berhampore Court railway station is easily accessible from the place.
