Nehru Museum is located on Teen Murti road near
Chanakyapuri in
Delhi. This historic museum was the earlier residence of the former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
Nehru Museum is equipped with photographs and newspaper clippings, which give a fascinating insight into the independence movement of India. Besides, it extensively displays various phase of Nehru's life. Nehru Museum also houses various gifts items presented to Nehru.
A well-equipped Planetarium is also located in the compound. The main attraction here is a capsule in which Rakesh Sharma went into space. Several rooms of the museum are left untouched and remain in the same way as Nehru left them. A beautiful garden is also situated behind the museum.
Admission is free. The museum is open from 09:00 to 17:30 hrs. It is closed on Mondays.
