Batasia Loop is a famous loop situated on the
Darjeeling Himalayan Railway between
Ghoom and
Darjeeling, in
West Bengal. Constructed in 1879 it is an engineering marvel and feat where the train takes a very unique turn. The meter-gauge toy train winds its way over this loop. Batasia Loop is just five kilometers from Darjeeling.
