Dakshineshwar Ramakrishna Sangha Adyapeeth, at
Dakshineshwar in
Kolkata, commenced its activities in 1921. The organization is committed to the service of humanity and the worship of the Divine Mother Goddess. The Sangha serves the poor and needy by offering food, shelter, medicines, clothes and other essential things regardless of caste, creed and color. It also runs orphanages for boys and girls, schools, old age home and ashrams. The orphanage accommodates about 700 inmates. The core point of all this activity is the loyalty to the Divine Mother, in the tradition of the great Bengali saint, Ramakrishna Paramahansa.
