Panchla

Panchla is on National Highway 6 and is a taluk headquarters in Howrah District. It is about 20 km to the south-west of Howrah and 4 km south of Jaynagar. This town is also an important industrial area in the district. Gobaria, Sahapur and Chandpur are other nearby locations. Howrah Bridge, Madangopaljiu Temple at Mellak, Morington Fort, Santragachi Jheel and Sankrail are the nearest tourist options. Panchla can be reached from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport and Nalpur Railway Station.
