Chandannagar Strand

Chandannagar Strand is a famous tourist spot on the banks of the River Hooghly. It is a decorated pavement 1 km long and 7 m wide. The Strand is adorned with lights and surrounded by lush green trees. The old docks which were demolished have now been replaced by a riverside park. A stretch of Kolkata's Circular Railway runs along the Strand Road. Many multi-storied office buildings which dot the area and the Vivekananda Mandir, a meditation center, add to the Strand's significance.

The nearest airport is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport. The Howrah Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
