Matiali is a taluk headquarters town of Jalpaiguri District in West Bengal. It is around 49 km from Siliguri, the sub-divisional town of the district of Darjeeling.
Phagu and Gorubathan in the west, Kumai in the north,
Nagrakata in the east and
Chalsa in the south are some of the prominent towns in the neighborhood.
Rishop, Pedong, Lava, Jaldhaka, Lolegaon, Fagu tea estate (22 km from Dam Dim Railway Station) and Kilkot tea garden are the tourist destinations lying in and around Matiali.
Civil Enclave Bagdogra and Chalsa Junction Railway Station serve the town.
