Birla Academy of Art and Culture was established in 1966 by the Birla family. Located at Rabindra Sarobar in south
Kolkata, the Academy has good collections of paintings and sculptures. Collections include contemporary and medieval paintings and archaeological specimens in stone, bronze and terracota. The museum of the academy holds regular art exhibitions.
