The
taluk headquarters town of Pursura lies just to the north-west of
Champadanga, in
Hooghly District of
West Bengal.
Damodar River flows in its eastern side. Pursura is situated around 10 km south-west of Tarakeshwar, a town famous for its
Tarakeshwar Temple.
