Triyuginarayan

Triyuginarayan is a scenic village located in Rudraprayag District, Uttaranchal. Triyuginarayan is around 25 km south of Kedarnath. It can be reached by a short trek of 5 km from Son Prayag.

Major point of attraction here is an old Vishnu temple, situated on the ancient bridle path that links Ghuttur with Kedarnath. The shrine resembles the temple of Kedarnath in architectural style and hence attracts a lot of devotees from far and near. Rudrakund, Vishnu kund and Brahmakund are other holy spots in the village.

Legends says that Triyuginarayan was the mythological venue that solemnized the wedding of Lord Shiva and Parvati. An eternal flame, which is believed to have been the witness of this marriage, burns in front of the temple.
