Situated at the bank of River Khoh, in Bhabar region near the foothills of the
Himalayas is the industrial town of Kotdwar. This town is the biggest business center in entire region. Kotdwar has the only railway terminus of the district.
Siddhbali Temple and
Durga Devi Temple are the major shrines in the town. Nearby attractions include Kanva Rishi Ashram, Bharat Nagar, Chila, Kalagarh, Medanpuri Devi, and Shri Koteshwar Mahadev.
