Khirsu is a serene and beautiful spot located about 19 km from
Pauri, in
Pauri Garhwal District of
Uttaranchal. Situated at an altitude of 1,700 m above sea level, the snow-laden mountains of Khirsu tempt the tourist in the winters. During summer the place offers panoramic view of the central Himalayas - one can get a clear view of 300 named and unnamed peaks. The tranquility of the adjoining thick Oak and Deodar forests and apple orchards is only broken by chirping birds.
The ancient temple of Ghandiyal Devta in the vicinity is another point of attraction.
