Vyasa Cave is situated on a mountain near
Kalapani in
Pithoragarh District. It is located at an altitude of 3,600 m. Legends say that
Veda Vyasa had stayed here. This region is also known as Byans.
Kalapani Spring, Kali Temple, Gunji and Budhi are the nearby attractions. It is surrounded by pine and juniper forests. The place provides an enchanting view of the snow clad mountains all around. Rock climbing equipments are required to reach here. Para gliding, hand gliding and trekking are arranged by the Department of Tourism,
