Bandarpunch Glacier




Bandarpunch is a 12 km-long glacier formed by three cirque glaciers, situated on the northern slopes of Banderpunch Peak (6316 m), Bandarpunch West (6,102 m) and Khatling Peak (6387 m). Bounded by lateral moraines, it lies on a slope and constitute an important glacier of the Yamuna basin.

The glacier is in the Garhwal region of Uttaranchal which comprises districts of Dehradun, Pauri Garhwal, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Haridwar and Chamoli.
