Situated on the Mall Road in
Almora, Govind Vallabh Pant Public Museum displays a rich and unique collection of items of archaeological, historic and cultural significance. Aspen, a folk style of painting, and Kumaoni antiquities are noteworthy among the collections. The museum provides opportunities to have a closer view of the various aspects of Aspen painting. Also exhibited are precious articles, which belong to the Katyuri and Chand dynasty. Visiting hour is between 10:30 hrs to 16:30 hrs.
