Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya is a university based in
Varanasi of
Uttar Pradesh. It is an international center of study, teaching and research in
Sanskrit.
The university has 22 departments, and faculties are available for Veda, Dharma Shastra, Jyotisha, Vyakarana and Sahitya. Pre-university courses include Prathama, Purva Madhyama and Uttara Madhyama. In addition, degree, post graduation, vocational and diploma courses are conducted.
Facilities include language labarotary, computer center, health center and a library with more than one lakh manuscripts of different Sanskrit texts. Besides, an archeological museum is located within the university. Hostel facilities are available.
