Bharat Mata Temple, dedicated to Mother India, is located in
Varanasi,
Uttar Pradesh.
The temple was built by Babu Shiv Prasad Gupt in the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth. Inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1936, it has a marble statue of Mother India. The statue is a model of undivided India in three dimensions with the mountains, plains and oceans in right proportion.
Bharat Mata Temple is about 1 km from the Varanasi Junction Railway Station. From Varanasi Central Bus Station, regular services are available to the temple.
