Talbehat




Talbehat is an old village located about 31 km south of Lalitpur. This place was earlier inhabited by the Gond Tribe. The literal meaning of the word 'Tal' is 'lake' and 'Behat' is 'village.' Talbehat Fort is the major point of attraction here. Bounded by a swamp, this fort is believed to have been built in 1618. The famous Narsingh Temple is located within this fort. Shri Shantinath Temple, Shri Bahubali Temple and Shri Parshwanath Temple are easily accessible from here. By road, Pawagiri is 11 km from here and the nearest airport is Gwalior airport.
