Sohagibarwa Wildlife Sanctuary




Sohagibarwa Wildlife Sanctuary covering an area of 428 sq km lies at the Indo-Nepal border in Maharajganj District of Uttar Pradesh.

Established in 1987, it is home to leopards, tigers, cheetah, kakar, parha, bear, wildcat, sivet, blue bull, crocodiles, pythons, cobra and different species of birds.

The ideal time to visit the sanctuary is from October 15th to June 15th.

The nearest bus station is at Maharajganj (50 km). The closest railway station is at Gorakhpur.
