Sardhana




Situated 22 km west of Meerut, Sardhana is a famous town renowned for its romantic and historical past. Established in the 18th century by the French adventurer Walter Reinhardt, this town is also known as 'Samru'. Once it was the residence of Begum Samru, wife of Walter Reinhardt who was assigned the jagir of Sardhana.

Roman Catholic Church Sardhana, The Begum's Palace, Anthony Kothi, the residence of Major Anthony Reghelini, the architect of the church and the palace and The Catholic Cemetery are the main places of interest.

Accommodation facilities are available at Meerut town. The nearest railway station is Meerut, 22 km from Sardhana, and the nearest airport is at Delhi(104km).
