Murad Nagar is a historic town located on the outskirts of
Ghaziabad,
Uttar Pradesh. It is situated 14 km north-east of Ghaziabad and is about 24 km from
Delhi.
Murad Nagar’s origin dates back to the 17th century. It is thought to be founded by Mirza Muhammad Murad Mughal, 400 odd years ago. His mausoleum still stands near the town and is a major attraction. Murad Nagar also houses an ordinance factory run by the Government of India.
Nearest international airport is at Delhi. Murad Nagar Railway Station is on the Delhi-Saharanpur section of the Northern Railways. National Highway 58 passes through Murad Nagar.
