Veni Madhav Temple is located in the holy town of
Mathura in
Uttar Pradesh. The presiding deity is
Lord Vishnu. This temple is located on the Prayag Ghat, which is used by the pilgrims to take bath in the holy
Yamuna River.
To the north of the temple is the Vishram Ghat, which is where Lord Krishna is believed to have taken rest after killing his evil uncle Kamsa. This ghat is host to numerous rituals and festivals. An important nearby temple is the Neelakanteshwar Temple, located to the north of Vishram Ghat.
