Maudaha Dam

Situated in Rath tehsil of Hamirpur District, Maudaha Dam is a major source of irrigation in Uttar Pradesh. This 22 m high dam is constructed across the Birma River, a tributary of the Betwa River. Apart from irrigation, Maudaha Dam provides drinking water to the larger portion of the region. In order to provide irrigation, a canal 48 km long has been built here. The farmers of Rath mainly depend on this reservoir for their Rabi and Kharif crops.
