Nana Rao Park is perhaps the oldest and biggest park in
Kanpur of
Uttar Pradesh. Sited on the Mall Road, it is to the west of
Phool Bagh.
Earlier known as Memorial Well Garden, the park is named after Nana Rao Peshwa, one of the prominent leaders of the first war of independence in 1857.
The park is the site of Bibi Ghar, a well where bodies of those killed in the revolt were thrown. This well is at present covered by concrete. A plant nursery is attached to the park.
