Jakhaura

Jakhaura is a rural township in Lalitpur District, Uttar Pradesh. This town, close to Madhya Pradesh State border, is around 30 km from Lalitpur, the district administrative center and 16 km from Bansi, a town on the Jhansi-Sagar National Highway.

Rama Janaki Mandir, situated here, is a protected monument under the Directorate of Archeology, Uttar Pradesh. Other attractions outside the town are Talbehat Fort (18 km) and Mahavir Swami Sanctuary.

Jakhaura Railway Station and Civil Airport Khajuraho are the nearest access points.
