Uttar Pradesh formed in 1994. It is situated in the plains of the river
Ganges, with its borders touching
Allahabad District,
Varanasi District,
Mirzapur District, and
Jaunpur District. Sant Ravidas Nagar covers an area of about 1,056 sq km. It is famous for its carpets in India and abroad.
