Deoria Kalan is an ancient rural township lying to the southern part of
Pilibhit District. The district headquarters of Pilibhit lies to the north of it. An inscription dating back to 992 found here, clearly points to the antiquity of the place. Several mounds covering the relics of an ancient kingdom are the main attraction near this place.
Deoria Kalan is accessible from Shahjahanpur-Pilibhit State Highway. It is well connected by road with Bilsanda, Deokali and Barkhera Kalan. Barkhera Railway Station and Amausi Airport serve the area.
