The district of Faizabad is situated in
Uttar Pradesh, on the banks of the
Sarayu. The total area is approximately 4,511 sq km and the population is over 2 million. Faizabad receives an average annual rainfall of 1,035 mm and the climate is pleasant throughout the year.
