Bharat Milap Temple is an ancient shrine located on the backside of the Kamadgiri Hill in
Chitrakut,
Uttar Pradesh. It is believe that, it is the spot where
Bharat, the brother of
Lord Ram, have tried to convince Ram to return to
Ayodhya, to be the king.
The Bharat Milap Festival celebrated every year during Dussehra celebrations is a major draw. During the festival, the temple is attended by the king of Kashi in royal grandeur as well as by at least a million devotees.
