Braj Bhasha is a language used by Braj Bhakha Tribes of Uttar Pradesh. It is also spoken in parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi. It is one of the Indo-Aryan languages that has features of both Hindi and Urdu. Mathura and Vrindavan are the main centers of this language. Between 15th and 19th century a large number of devotional works on Lord Krishna were written in this language at Mathura and Vrindavan. In fact, Braj Bhasha has had a deep impact on Hindi language and literature. Antarbedi, Bhuksa, Sikarwari, Jadobafi and Dangi are the sub-dialects of this language. Khayal and Dhrupad, two popular genres of Hindustani classical music are usually composed in Braj Bhasha.
