Bewar is a town situated in
Mainpuri District of
Uttar Pradesh. It lies on the
Grand Trunk Road at the point where it is crossed by the Bareilly-Etawah road, 27 km east of
Mainpuri.
There are several industrial and commercial establishments and a fair bazaar, containing a number of shops, catering to the local needs of the people and handing the trade in commodities like wheat, rice, potato and ground-nut.
The town has a bus station, from where buses ply to various locations in the district. A hospital, nursing home and schools are some of the institutions functioning here.
A cattle fair is held every year in the month of May. It attracts a large number of visitors.
