Uttar Pradesh Technical University, located in
Lucknow, was established in 2000. A State University, its jurisdiction extends to whole of
Uttar Pradesh.
It promotes research and training in engineering, technology, architecture, town planning, pharmacy, applied arts and crafts and such other programs and area as the Central Government may declare in consultation with all India Council for Technical Education, by notification in Gazette. Colleges of engineering, management, pharmacy, architecture and technology are affiliated to this university.
