Hardoi is the district headquarters town of
Hardoi District. The town is about 110 km north-west of
Lucknow. A market for grain and other crops, Hardoi has some industries including sugar milling, processing of potassium nitrate and woodworking. Its surrounding area is a level plain bordered by the
Ganges River and drained by its tributaries.

Sandila and Ruiyaa.
The nearest airport is at Lucknow and Hardoi Railway Station lies north-west of Lucknow on the Northern Railways.
