Surandai

A town in Tirunelveli District, Surandai lies 11 km east of Tenkasi and 16 km from Alangulam. The town of Elathur, on the National Highway 208, is 11 km west and Sendamangalam is 12 km towards north.

Sengottai, Vishwanatha Temple at Tenkasi, waterfalls at Kuttalam, the holy place of Papanasam, temples at Kallidaikurichi, Cheranmadevi and Sankarankovil are places of tourist and religious interest in the region.

Nearest major town is Tirunelveli, which is around 42 km east. Tuticorin Airport and Trivandrum International Airport serve Surandai. Tenkasi Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
