Paramakudi is located in
Ramanathapuram District of
Tamil Nadu and is on the
National Highway 49 between
Ramanathapuram and
Manamadurai.
Major point of attraction here are the temples of Sri Sundararaja Perumal and Sri Chandrasekara Swamy. The Chitra festival celebrated in the Sri Sundararaja Perumal temple is a major event in the district, attended by hundreds of devotees from far and near.
Paramakudi is around 40 km north-west of Ramanathapuram. Nearest airport is at Madurai.
Manamadurai Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Paramakudi Railway Station is on the Manamadurai-Ramanathapuram line.
