Ramakrishna Mutt is located at Tirupparaithurai in
Tiruchirapalli District. The mutt started functioning in 1949 and was founded by Ramaswamy Adikal.
It intends to uplift the down trodden and poor children of South India. They are given free food and shelter with good education including imperative training in technical skills.
The philosophy of Ramakrishna and his disciple Vivekananda are projected here.
