Spanning over an area of about 10 sq km, Nilakottai is located in
Dindigul District of
Tamil Nadu. It is in close proximity to the famous hill station at
Kodaikanal. Nilakottai is about 8 km north of Kullichettippatti, 13 km south-west of Ambaturai and 13 km north-west of Vadippatti.
