Satyamangalam, surrounded by thick forest, is located in Erode District of Tamil Nadu and lies at the foothills of the Western Ghats. It is located near the district’s border with Karnataka and is about 110 km south-east of Mysore.
The mountain passes of the Satyamangalam Ghats (a chain of mountains on the edge of the Deccan Plateau) offers some the amazing views of nature. Satyamangalam forest, famous for the sandalwoods, is now a restricted area. Annur, a famous pilgrim center lies on the Coimbatore-Satyamangalam road.
