Jadayu Theertham is a temple situated in
Rameshwaram and lies on the Rameshwaram-Dhanushkodi road.
It is believed to be the spot where the mythical bird Jadayu fell fighting Ravana, who was forcefully carrying away Sita. A pond surrounded by seven sand dunes can be seen here. The water of the pond is tastes like a tender coconut.
Mahamaham festival celeberated here attracts scores of devotees.
